The wine project Adega das Mouras de Arraiolos, located in Alentejo (1Southern Portugal), is based on quality, innovation, excellency and dimension.

The 326ha estate, 220ha of continuous vineyard, mainly red grape varieties and just 4 white grape varieties.

The winery vinifies exclusively the grapes grown in the Estate, reaching an average of 3 000 000Kg per year, combining the traditional techniques with advanced methods.

The winery has an aging room with capacity for 300 oak barrels, mainly are French oak from "Allier”; the bottling line with capacity for 3 000bottles per hour of different sizes with natural cork, screwcap and Bag-in-Box filling; the modern laboratory is capable to make analysis tests to ensure a thorough quality control during aging, grape maturation, vinification and follow the product after the market release.

All of the wines are regional, because the estate is not part of a geographical area of D.O.C. wines. Nevertheless, the quality of wine is not at stake.

The young and fresh white wines are produced in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature and the complex, full-bodied and structured white wines finish their production in oak barrels with "Batonnâge” in a cold chamber.

The fruity and soft red wines are produced in vats with controlled temperature, while the persistent and intense red wines age in oak barrels.
