Feuerheerd's is a traditional Portwine brand founded in 1815 by Dietrich Matthias Feuerheerd, a German merchant who established his business in Oporto. He selected and aged the finest blends of Port and shipped it to the Northern Europe.
With deep roots in the History of the city of Porto (Lourenço Feuerheerd was one of the founders of the most prestigious Social Club in the city - Club Portuense) this brand was, in the past, connected with some of the most renowned families in the Port trade, namely Barros (from Barros & Almeida) and the Bergqvists (from Quinta de la Rosa).
With the years, the brand became famous for its Vintage Ports of highest quality, which in England were known as "Anchor Ports", due to the distintive logo on the bottle.
