Quinta da Alorna is a 2 800 ha property located in the center of Portugal, in Tejo Region. It includes wine production, a 255 ha vineyard, wine tourism, organic food production and real estate development.
Quinta da Alorna perfectly combines tradition of wine production with new technologies and innovation, as with the introduction of new grape varieties and lab experiences are being handled in order to improve wine quality.
The vineyard, planted on sandy and poor soils, results in highly concentrated fruits that are essential to produce concentrated and complex wines. The grape varieties are vinified separately at the modern winery which is headed by Martta Reis Simões, recently designated the winemaker of the year.
