VINIHOLD – Comercialização de Vinhos SA, in the pursuit of the development of its strategic plan for internationalization, applied to the SI Program – PME’s (small and medium companies) Qualification and Internationalization, and its application was approved in September 2009 by QREN.
Vinihold’s International Action Plan which took comprehended several actions, such as: - place in 21 countries between May 2009 and May 2011; - participations in International Competitions, prospecting trips to international fairs and potential customers, development of promotional tools which is included design and development of new brands and packaging and technical staff’s hiring.
The results obtained in the pursuit of the outlined strategy lead to an effective strengthening of the company’s international presence, consolidation of existing markets, penetration in new markets and new costumers and widening of the product range on offer.
Although already visible, the results already achieved only foreshadow the future development’s potential of this project.
The QREN was a key player in the development of this strategy, providing the company's shareholders encouragement to launch new investiments and also helping to restore the financial resources spent on its implementation. |
